Silverado Excavating Company is a locally owned and operated Class A—General Engineering Contractor serving Nevada.
Immediately upon graduating from California State University At Chico in 1986 with a degree in Construction Engineering, Bob Fehling was hired by one of the nation’s top heavy-civil construction contractors. He spent 10 years traveling the U.S. with a team of highly talented engineers and managers to build several large public works projects including earthen dams, bridges, interstates and tunnels. These unique experiences allowed Bob to develop the skills and knowledge to plan, execute, and complete large scale projects with efficiency. In an attempt to settle in one area, Bob went to work for a general engineering contractor in Salt Lake City, UT that specialized in deep foundation systems and slope stabilization. After a couple of years in this arena, Bob wanted to move westward to be closer to his family. He accepted a general manager position with a new start-up company in 1998 called Silverado Excavating. The company was incorporated in 1995, and he later purchased the company in 2002. To this day, Silverado Excavating is a Class A – general engineering contractor specializing in residential sitework in Northern Nevada.
